Removes press-fit rear brake drums.
Designed to be used on most model cars.
Makes wheel-hub removal quick, easy, damage free, and won’t distort wheel lugs.
Brake drums on the rear axle can sometimes be very difficult to disassemble and it is easy to destroy the shaft when attempting to dismantle the brake drum with excessive force.
In most cases, you use a drum puller, screw it fast and then tap the drum with a hammer.
It is important to be careful not to deform the hub or to destroy the thrust of the drive shaft.
If you encounter problems with pulling the brake drum, you can use heat, preferably with a gas weld.
Heat and cool every second, be careful with heat and preferably cool down with compressed air.
The striker is held in tension while processing the drum (not shoulder end) until it can be removed.
If you proceed carefully, you can handle both the shoulder, the drum and the underlying parts.
Using copper brass on the drive shaft during re-assembly can help avoid the same problem the next time you change drums, backrests, wheel cylinders or anything else that causes the drum to turn off.
